The global community benefits because we operate under Fair Trade principles. This means that the handcrafted items we sell are made with sustainable resources by artisans in developing countries who are given fair wages, safe working conditions, and equity among workers, especially women.
Our local community benefits from Jubilee proceeds that go back into the other programs of Upper Valley MEND. Upper Valley MEND supports a food bank and emergency assistance program; a volunteer-run clinic for the uninsured or under-insured; an affordable housing project, and a home for adults with developmental disabilities.
